EMMA HALL - writer and performer

Emma graduated from the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA) in 2012.  Recent projects include performing in and co-devising No Show‘s “Unfinished Business” (This Is Not Art festival, Newcastle 2013, You Are Here festival, Canberra 2013), and “Outside Line” (Pop Up Playground’s 2013 Fresh Air, Melbourne), directing and performing in “We Are Perpendicular” (You Are Here Festival, 2013) and performing the role of Annabella in Tony Kushner's "A Bright Room Called Day" (dir. Tom Healey, 2012 VCA). Emma appears in Nina Mulhall's video art piece "You Came Out of Me", which exhibited at the National Portrait Gallery in Canberra as a finalist for the 2012 National Digital Portrait Award.  Emma is also a founding member of Orgi Collective, an artist collective producing regular cross-disciplinary live arts events in Melbourne.

 

EMMA SMITH - writer and performer

Emma graduated from the VCA in 2013. Emma began acting from the age of 15, including a subject at Griffith University in Applied Theatre and Queensland Theatre Company’s ‘Theatre Residency Week’, both while still at school. Prior to the VCA she played ‘Scheherazade’ in Arabian Nights.  Emma was then accepted into the VCA at the age of 17.  During her time at the VCA her roles have included: ‘Anya’ in "The Cherry Orchard", ‘Sunny’ in "Ship of Fools", ‘Eve’ in a staged reading of "All About Eve," Girl in "Attempts on her life" and 'Juliet' in "Romeo and Juliet." Her final performance at VCA was in the ensemble production "Eddie Goes to Poetry City' (dir. Richard Murphett) in October 2013.

 

TARYN DUDLEY - Set Designer

Taryn is a Visual Merchandiser and part-time Designer based in Adelaide. Taryn’s previous work involves furniture design, artworks, window displays and a most recent stint as Design Consultant for a successful local bar. When Taryn isn’t creating exciting new works she can oftimes be found at her Cellar Door job, drinking wine and ruminating with friends on life, the universe and everything.

 

RAYA SLAVIN - Composer/Sound Designer

Raya is a recent graduate from the Victorian College of the Arts and received the Cassidy Bequest Scholarship. Raya has worked as a sound designer and composer for puppetry, contemporary dance and theatre. In 2011, Raya seconded to Robin Fox on the Chunky Move show Connected. Recent work includes Laika and Wills (Melbourne Fringe), Savages (with Kelly Ryall), MKA Group Show and Reasons To Be Pretty. Throughout 2013, Raya has worked as sound associate for Kelly Ryall and Russell Goldsmith on projects with KAGE, Bell Shakespeare, The Hayloft Project, fortyfive downstairs and The Public Studio as a part of Helium at Malthouse Theatre. As solo artist Babushkabot, her track Everywhere has featured in the Triple J Unearthed Electronic Charts and in the 2010 Intergalactic FM Top 100 of the Year.
